General Description:

The League of Conservation Voters, Inc. (“LCV”), a non-profit organization, builds political power to protect people and the planet. We envision a world in which tackling the climate crisis, confronting environmental injustice, and strengthening our democracy lead to cleaner and healthier communities, good, well-paying jobs, and a more just, equitable, and sustainable planet for all.

For more than 50 years, LCV has fought for solutions to the interconnected threats our environment and democracy face. We do so by working with and holding elected officials accountable, mobilizing, organizing, and building grassroots power in communities, electing candidates who share our values, and partnering with and supporting our 30+ state affiliates across the country.

The Campaigns Intern will assist in creating digital content, planning virtual events, and devising strategies to activate and mobilize LCV’s volunteer base, especially youth activists. Special projects include planning and supporting national virtual volunteer events, drafting written materials for organizing efforts, including scripts, newsletters, and issue talking points, researching policy and strategy for mobilizing members into active volunteers and moving them up the ladder of engagement, and bolstering LCV’s presence and credibility by working with partners across the environmental movement. The Campaigns Intern will join a Fall 2026 internship cohort that will participate in development opportunities, including a Capstone project, informational interviews with staff, and organization-wide training and discussions.
