The League of Conservation Voters, Inc. (“LCV”), a non-profit organization, builds political power to protect people and the planet. We envision a world in which tackling the climate crisis, confronting environmental injustice, and strengthening our democracy lead to cleaner and healthier communities, good, well-paying jobs, and a more just, equitable, and sustainable planet for all.
For more than 50 years, LCV has fought for solutions to the interconnected threats our environment and democracy face. We do so by working with and holding elected officials accountable, mobilizing, organizing, and building grassroots power in communities, electing candidates who share our values, and partnering with and supporting our 30+ state affiliates across the country.
LCV is seeking two Communications Interns who will support the Communications Department with its external communications on owned, earned and social media. The Communications Interns will support and learn from the entire communications team, and will assist in drafting and distributing content across all of the communications team’s platforms and audiences. This may include drafting blog posts, press statements and releases, social media copy, graphics, and the weekly tipsheet. It will also include loading content to the LCV websites and assisting with website projects. The Communications Interns will also play a key role supporting the earned media team by distributing LCV’s daily news clips to LCV staff across the country, maintaining press lists, gathering content at press events, and pitching press as needed.
The Communications Interns will actively participate in centering racial justice and equity in communications, ensuring cultural competence in all materials that also reflect the environmental justice priorities of our programs.
The Communications Interns will join a Fall 2026 internship cohort that will participate in development opportunities, including a Capstone project, informational interviews with staff, and organization-wide training and discussions.
This position is classified as “Regular Remote Work”, which means the position is not assigned to an office and can work remotely full-time.
